2015 Annual Report

Annual Report 2015

Rogerson is pleased to have completed and celebrated the opening of two important affordable housing projects in 2015. Hong Lok House and Cooper House became fully operational, opening their doors to residents and dignitaries in honor of the occasion. Another major project under development, Fairing Way, has picked up momentum and will soon be under construction. Also, in partnership with MADSA, Rogerson secured statewide Massachusetts Department of Public Health licensure for all adult day health programs, raising the efficacy and quality, and helping to secure understanding of these critical programs.

Annual Report 2014

As the landscape of national, state and local funding continues to change, Rogerson Communities has continued to achieve our mission of offering affordable housing and services for low-income elders. Our commitment to the elders we serve continues to flourish and thrive as our economy slowly returns to better days. Rogerson's commitment to environmentally sound practice is evident in the development of the New Hong Lok House, as well as in the up-cycling and green retro-fitting of Farnsworth House which won Rogerson Communities a prestigious national award. Rogerson faces the challenges of our future built upon our strong history of success.

2011 Annual Report

Annual Report 2011

Over the course of the three decades since our organization began its expansion, we have thrilled to economic highs and worried through economic lows. At no time have we veered off our steady course toward affordable housing and meaningful services for elder people in need.

We are heartened to have had such a vital year upon which to report. Like age itself, 2011 was no exception to the rule of economic peaks and valleys. In fact, as the economy has appeared to brighten, vestiges of the effects from three years ago have remained, challenging our ability to both maintain our current programs and advance other projects.

2010 Annual Report

One hundred and fifty years ago, the gentlemen who created the Home for Aged Men could not have imagined that it would one day become Rogerson Communities. Even fifty years ago, a very different culture of care existed from the network of varied programs and services that supports the elderly and disabled in our communities today. As we were passed a torch by our forefathers, we now carry the vebe passed on to the next generation.

2009 Annual Report

Annual Report 09

*

Although an annual report is typically produced to outline financial figures of the past year, we’ve tried something a little different for 2009. In addition to giving you the numbers, we also designed this piece to highlight some of the stories behind the numbers. We aim to give you a glimpse of what your support means to the many, many elders in need who live in Rogerson low-income housing and participate in our adult day health programs. Without your support, the need—already great—would be even greater. And for that, we thank you.

2008 Annual Report

Health and wellness—for our low income elders, as well as our organization itself—was a big focus for Rogerson in 2008. We close out 2008 with a strong sense of health and vitality as an organization, with the pledge that in 2009 we will continue to take the pulse of the needs of elders in and around Boston, and set the bar even higher for ourselves, and those we serve.

2005 Annual Report

*

Success calls on the successful to achieve that next loftier goal. By all measures, 2005 was not only a successful year for Rogerson Communities, it was a remarkable year. With the momentum from The Campaign for Rogerson Communities providing an inertial push, we were able to capitalize on the opportunities it provided to build on 145 years of tradition, and to experience significant progress.

2004 Annual Report

2004 was a year of tremendous growth for Rogerson Communities. It was growth that went beyond the buildings for which we broke ground, beyond the exercise machines we installed and even beyond the new non-profit clients who turned to us for real estate development and management support. At the core of Rogerson’s passion for growth is a true passion for people—a passion for the dignity, longevity and vitality of the many diverse individuals who are our communities.
