Rogerson to Honor Secretary John F. Kerry at Welcome Home Gala May 15, 2017

Secretary John F. Kerry will be honored at Rogerson’s Welcome Home at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on May 15, 2017 and will participate in a question and answer session with Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC’s The Last Word.

Rogerson’s 2017 Welcome Home Gala is proud to be honoring Secretary John F. Kerry with the Charles E. Rogerson Award. Secretary Kerry exemplifies a lifetime of personal and professional commitment to service of his community — globally, nationally, and locally. A Boston resident, Secretary Kerry will be surrounded by many great friends and family as he comes home for this important night.

Dr. Gary Kearney, a Rogerson Board member and longtime friend of Secretary Kerry, is among the outstanding co-chairs of this great event. “All of the many years I’ve known the Secretary, and watched his career grow to serve more and more people, I have never seen him stray from his utter commitment to the cause at hand and his passion for helping his fellows,” said Dr. Kearney of Rogerson’s honoree. Rogerson Commits Critical Resources to Preserving Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home

Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home located in Norton, Massachusetts is currently under the stewardship of Rogerson Management.

Rogerson has committed its expertise and management resources to Daggett-Crandall- Newcomb Home, a 28-bed residential care facility in Norton, Massachusetts.

This facility in the southeastern suburbs has long been an essential resource to the community but, in recent years, has been in increasing danger of closing its doors. Rogerson has stepped in and is providing the essential support needed to place them strongly back on their feet and best able to serve those in need of their services. Laurie Trilling, Rogerson’s Chief Operating Officer, shares that “Residential care, the kind of care offered at DCN Home, is a unique option in senior living. It is a perfect choice to consider for someone needing assistance with day-to-day living and management of chronic medical conditions that many elders experience. Rogerson is Shaping the Future of Healthcare and Aging in Community

Darcey Adams is Rogerson’s Vice President of Health Services

Rogerson underwent a strategic planning process a few years ago and recommitted to the long-standing tradition of providing supportive health services for elders. Darcey Adams joined Rogerson in 2016 as the Vice President of Health Services, and brings tremendous experience to Rogerson’s outstanding leadership team. In just a short time, Adams partnered with Hebrew Senior Life to implement the Mi-Wish research project at two of Rogerson’s housing sites. The researchers will implement the second phase of this multi-year project and will provide wellness programs and gather data over a twelve month period.

Additionally, she is relaunching a partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Senior Homecare to implement wellness programs at Beacon House which will include education and support from a team of registered nurses and clinical social workers. This program, Connecting for Wellness, will also include a research component and will be exploring the impact of providing medical and behavioral health services at housing sites and the impact on overall health outcomes including emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
